The short answer
Editorial responsibility
Danielle Malachi is responsible for the food and editorial decisions published under her name. #insecuriti kitchen publishes the website, cookbook and digital editions and is responsible for keeping each live version tied to a reviewed source.
We aim to make a claim only as strongly as its evidence allows. Our public recipe-development and testing method explains why tested, validated and published are different states.
What counts as a correction?
A correction may be needed when something materially affects a cook’s result or understanding, including:
- a safety instruction, allergen note or storage direction;
- an ingredient quantity, yield, timing, temperature or method step;
- a factual statement about the cookbook, website or digital products;
- a broken link, inaccessible control or site behaviour that prevents someone from using the published information; or
- wording, spelling or layout that changes the intended meaning.
A reader preference can be useful feedback without being an error. We review the evidence before deciding whether the published source needs to change.
How we review a report
When the review date changes
A substantive review date changes when we alter the meaning of a definition, claim, instruction, safety statement, method or policy. We may repair a typo, formatting error or broken link without presenting it as a new substantive review.
Recipe corrections stay together
A recipe screen, black-and-white edition and colour edition are different presentations of the same reviewed recipe. If a correction changes the food, method, yield, timing, safety or storage facts, we review and replace every affected edition together. We do not quietly correct one format while leaving the others contradictory.
What remains private
Complete formulas, unpublished recipes, kitchen test records and internal production systems remain protected. Customer account details, private notes, passwords, payment information and redemption codes are not part of the public correction record.
Report a problem
Email help@insecuriti.ca. Tell us which page, recipe or edition you were using; what you did; what happened; and what you expected. For a website problem, include the device and browser if you can.
Do not send a password, full payment information or an unredacted redemption code. We do not run public comment threads or require a social account to report a correction.
